Rice Cereal.....YUMMY!!

Roman had his first tasting of Rice cereal on December 6th.

It was a pretty exciting moment for his mommy :). . . . .and I imagine this is how Roman felt about it- -

"You're going to feed me WHAT?"

First spoonful- -

"WHAT is THIS?...... I'm not quite sure about this mom!"

"Hmmmmm, not so bad I guess."


"Actually, I think I might like it! Gimme more mom....gimme more!"


"Oh, this is de-lish. Yummers!"


"Can I have that bowl please? Is there anymore of that stuff in there?"

"Oh Boy!!.....Now that was tastey!"


"Are you supposed to wear the rice cereal too?? Because, if so, I am AWESOME! ":)

FiVE mOnTHs OLd?!

Roman at 5 months:

- Still sleeps through the night

- Nurses 5 times a day

- Loves to play with his feet

- Takes 3 naps during the day

- Is starting to splash with his legs in the bath

- Loves to be naked :)

- Has sore gums but no teeth breaking through yet

- Still loves his paci

-Does NOT like tummy time

-Sits up well with the Boppy behind him

- Puts everything in his mouth

- Loves, loves, loves his jumperoo

- Has ticklish feet, thighs & neck

- Has the cutest laugh ever!

- Sleeps like a champ in his car seat

- Snores when he's really tired :)

- Looks exactly like his daddy

- Still has beautiful blue eyes

- Smiles at anyone who'll talk to him

- Is such a sweet & happy little baby

A couple weeks ago Roman & I were able to spend some time with one of my BFFs from college. We hadn't seen each other for nearly 3 years and it was like we had never been apart.:)

We talked about "the good ole days". . . . . and she kindly reminded me that I once told her she was a "One woman circus!". . . . .(one of our favorite movies in college was How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days). Ha!!.....can't believe I said that!

We talked & talked & talked, & laughed & laughed! Fun times! She also introduced me to my new favorite sushi place in Salt Lake.....Happy Sumo......so delicious!!!

Here's Roman and Ade getting to know each other.:) Ade was kind enough to share her baby toys with Roman.

It was such a fun visit!! I wish we lived closer so we could see each other more often. But it was good to catch-up, even if we only had a weekend to do it.

4 Months Old!!

My little Romie will be 5 months old tomorrow so I thought I'd hurry and post his 4 month stats before he turns 5 months old.:) Kinda cuttin' in close huh?

Roman's 4 Month Stats:

Weight- 17 lbs. 3 oz. (75-90%)

Height- 26 in. (75-90%)

Head Circumference- 43.9 cm (75-90%)

The pediatrician said Roman is "very proportioned". Makes a mom proud.:)

Let me tell you a little bit about my first Halloween- -

To start......mommy dressed me in ridiculous orange & black outfits all week long.

"It's all in the spirit of the holiday" she says.:)

One night during the week mom & grandma made some minature cakes, cupcakes I think they call 'em, with my cousins but of course I didn't even get to taste them. Doesn't seem fair does it??

Then papa stuck a knife in a couple pumpkins, pulled out their guts, carved a face in one of them & a spider in the other and put a candle down in the center of each.......

.......seemed a little strange to me but who am I to judge the traditions of holidays.

Just when I thought this holiday couldn't get more weird- -

my mom took off my cute orange & black outfit and and stuck me in this........

Seriously mom?? A duck??

I was so irresistibly cute in that costume though that I nearly got eaten by a demon for heaven's sake!!!

I didn't even cry or nothin'. :)

I later found out that wasn't really a demon. It was my cousin Jett. Apparently every child out there and even some adults dress in some weird outfit and pretend to be someone else for the night. Huh, who knew??

Retail Therapy :)

Sometimes a girl just needs a little retail therapy....right??

And that's precisely the kind of therapy I needed, so my mom & I headed to Phoenix.
We visited friends & family, ate yummy food, got our hair "did", searched the sale racks, tried on a gazillion clothes, shoes & jewelry, made a few purchases and came home feeling gooooood.

Roman also had the privilege of experiencing our 3 day shop-a-thon.
And don't worry.....he participated in a little therapy as well.:)

Then we played dress-up......

.......and let him relax in the hotel room.

He was such a good sport. Just hangin' out with the girls and eating his meals in fitting rooms. :)

I found my new favorite store for baby boy clothes.

Roman is now the proud new owner of a baby wardrobe from H&M.

Love that store!!!

(I'm really not an irresponsible shopper. 90% of the clothes Roman got are for Christmas)

And this is the result of mom & I's therapy.......

Ahhhhhhh, there's nothing better than coming home with shopping bags full of clothes, shoes & jewelry.

Now that's what I call therapy!

Rolling Over!!

Little Mr.Roman rolled over for the first time last Thursday. It was the cutest thing ever!.....of course.:)

He has been rolling up onto his side for a couple weeks now but couldn't quite make it over that chubby arm. So when he finally did roll all the way over he was ticked cause his arm was stuck underneath him.

Happy Monday everyone!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom celebrated her 39th birthday again on Tuesday.;)

My dad & I made her breakfast that morning, then she opened gifts, and later on we took her out to lunch.

She had all 3 of the grandkids here to celebrate with her during the day and after dinner she got a foot massage from my dad......which is her absolute favorite thing.

I think this was the first year that she didn't know what she was getting. A new Sony camera with all the accessories. She's pretty excited to replace the old ancient Canon she's had for years.

Roman was excited for grandma's birthday too!:)

ThRee MOnThs oLD!!

Gosh! I can't even believe my baby boy is 3 months old!

Well.....he's now 3 1/2 months old......our life has been a little crazy lately which has bumped blogging down the priority list. Imagine that.

Roman is so much fun! I am really enjoying this stage. He loves to smile and goo at anyone that will talk to him. . . . . when he's in the mood that is.:)

You'll notice Roman's mohawk getting thinner & thinner throughout the pictures until eventually it's gone. He now has a sweet comb-over. Can't wait till his blond hair grows back in so the mohawk can have a come-back.:)

It is seriously ridiculous how cute this kid is!

It's my blog so I'll say it as many times as I want.:)

My dad says he gets even more cute everyday...... and I must agree.

Roman's favorite thing right now is laying on the bed while someone stands over him and entertains him. It's a good thing there's 3 adults in the house to make funny faces, crazy sounds, blow on his belly...... and other such forms of baby entertainment. He just loves it!

He is such a big boy! Weighing in at about 15 lbs. when these pictures were taken.

Roman will fall asleep just about anywhere, which I'm thankful for. Like mother, like son.:)
