So lets go ahead and start with the lows. . . .
. . . . . Taxes!!!
We decided to do our own again this year which works well for me because I'm a perfectionist and I can take my time sifting through receipts to find any and all deductions. . . . but it sure is stressful!! I don't know how many of you have used TurboTax or a program like it but with each W-2, 1099, deduction entered or question answered you hold your breath and look away from the screen because the box that tells you "Federal amount due" or "Federal return" changes significantly with every click of the "enter" button. Yikes!!!
I had already planned on owing money on my taxes because of being "self-employed" when I took care of my grandfather last summer but at one point the little box told me I owed the Federal government nearly $6000. . . . .and I'm pretty sure my heart stopped for just a moment when I looked up at that stupid "little box" and saw that ridiculous number!! Talk about stressful!!! The final "Federal amount due" wasn't quite that bad but it's never very fun writing out a check to the Federal government instead of looking forward to a nice little "return check" in the mail.
No return check for us this year!!:(

Falling in the middle of "highs" and "lows", depending on the hour, were 3 days of Advanced Cardiac Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life Support re-certification classes. Not only did I work 40 hours but I put in about 22 hours of class as well. So I basically lived at the hospital all week and the only up side is that I will be getting paid for each and every one of those precious hours.:)

And by far the absolute highlight of my week was. . . . . . . . (drum roll please). . . . . . . . .
the arrival of . . . . . .
My Twilight DVD!!:)
I had pre-ordered it through Amazon.com and I was so excited to watch it again to see if it was any better the 2nd time around.
And it is!!!
I am slightly ashamed to admit that I've watched it 4 times in the last 5 days.
I don't know what it is about those books/movie that have me addicted but I just can't help it.
I love Edward Cullen!:)
And I'm not ashamed to admit that!:)

So for those of you who haven't bought the DVD yet. . . . . . .you need to!
I got the 2-disc DVD and I like the special features too. They have extended scenes, deleted scenes and music videos that are pretty good.
* * *
Anyway, enough about Twilight. I could go on and on but I won't.
Well. . . . just one more thing. . . . . I'm really excited now for New Moon to come out in November!
Oh boy!! Doesn't that just make you excited?!
