Looking back now....it probably wasn't the greatest idea to make a 12 hour drive by myself being 8 months pregnant and all. I will forever remember this trip to Utah as being the week I finally started feeling "very pregnant". Until this point in pregnancy I have had very few complaints, which is not so much the case now that I'm 34 weeks pregnant but I will not rant about them in this post.....too much anyway.:)
The one thing I will tell you so that as you look at my swollen body in these pictures is that "YES, I am VERY swollen in these pictures!" Being in a car for that many hours somehow made me retain water like crazy. My feet were unrecognizable, my nose is more wide and I felt like a whale. One plus, that my mom pointed out, is that my lips are nice & full. . . . giving Angelina Jolie a run for her money.:) HA!!

I would not have taken this trip to Utah had I not had good reason. Those reasons being: a baby shower in Blanding and meeting with family & good friends at stops all along the way.
I was "showered" with baby gifts for days.:) It was awesome!! I have such wonderful friends and family!! I am one lucky girl!
I do not have pictures to document every get together, which I'm upset about, but my pregnant brain can only remember so much, ya know.:)

A couple of my college roommates and I met at our favorite place, The Cheesecake Factory, for lunch in Salt Lake City. We don't get to see each other enough so it was so good to spend a couple hours visiting. I guess we only know how to produce boys at this table.:)
They are such great mommy's! It's great to see them in that role!
Thanks for EVERYTHING ladies!! Love ya!

Not pictured: Lunch & visiting with my friend Kristin in Layton, UT. We rarely get to see each other either so it was so good to spend an afternoon together. She has a 3 year old son who has the funniest personality and I must share with you something he said that will make you pee your pants.:) He has never really been around a pregnant woman before so he was a little complexed as to "How" this whole baby in your belly thing worked. Kristin and I were standing there talking and Jaxson looks up at his mom & says "Mom, I'll NEVER swallow a baby. I think I'd throw up." He was very serious about this statement and Kristin and I just died laughing! What a funny kid.
Also Not pictured: Dinner with my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, aunt-in-law, and cousin-in-law.:) We had a yummy dinner at a Mexican food restaurant in Tooele and they showered me with gifts! My in-laws are great & they're pretty fun to hang out with too. We had a good time!

OK, on to the Baby Shower in Blanding- -
My mother worked tirelessly on her backyard trying to beautify and prepare it for the Saturday shower. Well, wind is pretty much a downer and party pooper unless you're flying a kite or sailing so needless to say we had to move the festivities inside. But I want my mom to know how beautiful the back yard looked in the wind.:)
Anyway, my sister-in-law Adrienne and her friend Betsy were the masterminds behind this Baby Shower and it turned out GREAT!! Check it out. . . .
*Delicious cup cake display

*Yummy/colorful food

*Raspberry/Lemon water

*Adrienne made this apron! It was filled with some "mommy" essentials. So cute!

*Super cute diaper cake that Betsy made. Love it!
The shower was TONS of fun! Thank you Adrienne, Mom, & Betsy!!

And this is the only picture I'll post with me in it because remember: I felt/looked like a whale. Lets be honest here. . . how can you feel cute when you're standing next to these two gorgeous ladies that barely look half their age. I've got good genes but they don't count when you're pregnant & retaining water.:)

I definitely don't regret this trip. I had a great time! It reminded me how many great friends and family members I have who support me and are excited for me and this new adventure Bryce and I have been waiting for years for. I'm
sooooo grateful for all of you!
I came home with a car load of gifts and another reason to believe this baby boy is going to be sooooo spoiled!
