In Memory of Grandpa Joe

Grandpa Joe lost his long & painful fight with lung cancer on August 28th.
His funeral was held Saturday September 4th in Blanding.
We're so so sad that he's no longer with us but we're thankful that his suffering is over.

Both the funeral and graveside service went well. There were great times remembered and memories shared.

Grandpa was a great man, with a hilarious sense of humor, and a tremendous love for his wife & family. He will be soooooo missed.

It was great to see Aunts, Uncles & cousins that I haven't seen in years. All the people in grandpa's life that love him & miss him like crazy.
***
These are grandpa's 4 living children & their families.....minus a couple.
Grandpa's children- Vicki, Vance (my dad), Lisa & Jeff

Lauren & Marley.......such a cute picture.

My cousin Jackson & I were best buds growing up and it just so happens that we both had our first child in the same year. Marley is just 6 weeks older than Roman and he already outweighs her by a couple pounds.:)

Vance Nielson Family
..... minus Adrienne..... she had to work right after the funeral.

Side note: Roman had a really cute outfit on that day but didn't even make it through the viewing before having a blow-out.:(

The girls :)

I love my family!
Wish I could see them more often....under different circumstances.

Roman's Blessing

We decided to bless Roman in Blanding at my parents house on the Sunday after the funeral. All of Bryce's family made the long drive from Tooele to be there for Roman's special day. We're so thankful for everyone that was able to attend. Roman is VERY loved!!

My mom and I cooked for 2 days making all the delicious food for the luncheon after the blessing. I'm not quite sure why we do that......it's gone in like 20 minutes.......after all that hard work.:)

I ordered Roman's little linen outfit online and wasn't quite sure how I was going to like it but I ended up loving it. I didn't get a really good picture of him in it though.:(
And yes....I realize I have one of the whitest babies ever! His skin nearly blends in with the outfit.:)
I'm so thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and be able to raise Roman in the church as well. I pray that he will one day gain his own testimony of the truthfulness of the church and it's teachings, make righteous decisions, hold & honor the priesthood and be a good example to those around him.

I love you Roman!
You are the sweetest baby boy ever and I'm so blessed to be your mommy!

2 Month Check-Up

Roman had his 2 month check-up 2 weeks ago so I'm a little slow at posting this but I wanted to share his "stats" with everyone. The poor little guy wailed when they gave him his shots but mommy was able to comfort him. He was a little fussy that evening but other than that he did great. Look at how chunky this baby's thighs are!!! Oh, I love 'em!

2 Month Stats:

Here are some random pics taken over the past 3 weeks.

All dressed up for church.

I love this picture! Just look at those lips!

Napping on the bed with Jack.

He played so hard on his mat he wore himself out.:)

He smiles a ton now! We love it! He has little smiles, half smiles & big gummy smiles but pictures just don't do them justice. They will melt your heart!

And he still loves the paci and so do we.:)
We have one with a frog, a long horn bull & the giraffe.

Roman looks different in every picture I take of him.
Is he really changing that fast or does he just get more chubby every day??
He will be 11 weeks old tomorrow!:(
