It's GO TIME!

Ok, it's not quite go time but we're getting close.:)
* * *
I finished my last shift at work last week and it's a good thing because these cankles couldn't do another 12 hour shift on cement floors. Seriously!
And this is what Bryce surprised me with!! What a sweet guy huh?
I love surprises. . . .and flowers. . . . and my husband!
"Congratulations on your last night at work!"
* * *
Chances are that this will be the last "baby bump" picture. I realize I look very tired and that's because I AM. No matter how much sleep I get I'm almost always tired. It's a lot of work carrying around this bump.:)
36 Weeks
I had my 36 week check last Thursday and I'm 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced!! Wahoo! I'm not going to get too excited because I realize I could go weeks like this but at least we're making progress.:) Actually, after leaving my OB office I started to panic a little because I thought "Holy Crap! This baby could come any time now! I don't know if I'm ready!"
I feel ready to be a mother and take care of my baby boy but what I'm not ready for is LABOR. I'm nervous as heck! It's fear of the unknown ya know. I just don't know what to expect and I don't like that feeling.
I guess I'm as prepared as I can be:
- Pre-registered at the hospital. . . check
- Sheets, blankets & baby clothes washed. . . . check
- Hospital bags for me & baby packed. . . . check
- Car seat base installed. . . . check
- Husband on standby. . . check
*My mom will be here June 23rd unless I call her sooner yelling, "It's GO TIME!":)
* * *
And just for the heck of it, I threw this picture in.
Jack has no idea how much his quiet, uninterrupted life is about to change.:)
Oh wait. . . . neither do I.

"Man Shower" and more- -

And we continue to be showered with gifts. . . . .

* * *
Bryce's secretaries decided to throw him a surprise "Man shower" and lunch at work on Friday which was so fun! I thought the idea was so cool and it was a fun way to give Bryce a chance to be showered with gifts.

SURPRISE!!

He liked playing with all the toys attached to the diaper cake.:)

I pretty much just sat back and watched him open the gifts.
It was his turn.:)

Love this blanket- - so cute!

And this would be the Baby Boy Shields "Future Attorney" outfit.:)

- I'd just like to add how HOT my husband is. He's lost as much weight as I've gained this pregnancy.:) He looks so good! - - Love you babe!

And here are the wonderful ladies that put together the "Man shower" and made us a great lunch. It was so fun!

I also had my final baby shower today with my friends & co-workers at Pershing General Hospital.:)
I really am soooo grateful for all the love & support.
I have so many wonderful people in my life!

This is what I call- - The Thrown

One of the games we played required sitting on the floor.
It wasn't so hard getting down there but. . . . .

. . . . getting up off the floor required a little help.:)

We also had to design a baby out of play-dough. That was interesting.:)

A few of the finished products- -
Mine is the green one.:)

Yummy food!

And my favorite cake. . . . . yellow with chocolate frosting. Delicious!!

Presents, presents, and more presents!

And check out these awesome facial expressions I pull while opening gifts and being photographed.:)

Yikes!

We have been so spoiled with gifts & baby showers these past few weeks!
And we're so greatful for all of them- - the hard work, time & money spent. This baby boy is so loved already and he isn't even here yet. He's got everything he needs and more!

We are getting soooo excited to meet our baby boy! Check out the ticker on the side- - one more month! I can't believe it!!
