An Afternoon at Lake Tahoe

Roman had his 1st Lake Tahoe experience last Saturday. We packed a picnic and enjoyed some time on the beach. Mr. Roman basically slept the whole afternoon. That's what he does best. . . . .well, that and eating.:)

The beach was pretty busy which made for some great "people watching".

It was such a nice day! Lake Tahoe is soooo beautiful! We'll definitely go back one more time before the summer's over.

And if anyone wants to come out & visit us we'll take you to there.:)

It's About Time....

. . .that I post about Roman's birth and his days in NICU. Well. . . . . .I started the post at the beginning of July & never finished it. And I just published it and didn't realize that it would stay under the date that I started. So if you want to read it you'll have to go back to the July 9th post. Oops!

Baths, Bedtime Stories & Big Boy Crib

Oh how much joy this baby boy brings to our life!

We are loving every minute with Roman!

He's 6 weeks old now and getting more chubby every day.:)

Bath Time

Roman is starting to enjoy his bath time more. He wasn't quite sure about it the first couple times but as long as he's got a full belly he enjoys just about anything.:)

We decided not to spend money on a baby bath. This $5 baby body sponge is great!!

Bedtime Stories

Bryce loves to read to Roman in the evening and I think Roman loves to hear his daddy's voice so it's great for everyone involved.

And I love to see Bryce being a daddy. It's very cute!

Big Boy Crib

We decided that Roman is big enough for his crib so he spent his first night in it Monday night. He did great!

He looks so tiny in that big crib. . . .

. . . . but oh so sweet.:)

Roman at 6 Weeks Old:

- Prefers to sleep in his Little Lamb vibrating chair

- Smiles at us. . .when he want to

- Nurses every 3-4 hours

- Wakes up twice during the night and thinks it's "awake time"

- Loves his "paci"

- Always a happy boy in the morning

- Does not like being put in his carseat but is out cold once the car starts moving

- Has blue eyes like his grandpas

- Grunts & growls a ton

- Enjoys music. . . .anytime & anywhere

and

- Loves his Mommy & Daddy!!!:)

Maternity Pics

There was a time when I wasn't sure I'd ever experience being pregnant and it was devastating to me. I've always looked at the miracle of pregnancy, as well as pregnant women, as being so beautiful. So when I finally did get pregnant I really wanted to enjoy the experience. . . . . and I think I did. . . . .that is. . . . until the cankles took over.:)

I wanted to document my joy and how special this pregnancy was to me.

So on a trip to Blanding, while I was 8 months pregnant, I had maternity pictures taken.

And I'm really happy to have such a wonderful time in my life captured in these pictures.

1 Month Birthday!!

My in-laws had the cute idea of celebrating Roman's one month birthday. . . . basically a good excuse to get together and eat pizza & cake.:)

Roman wasn't very fond of the Sponge Bob party hat or the many pictures mom was taking.:)

He sure looks cute though!

I love it when he opens his eyes really big like this.:) He's got such a cute little personality already.

Roman & Grandpa Wes

Roman even got a book & some really cute socks from Grandma Merle for his birthday. And his cousins Molly & Wyatt made him a card.:)

What's a birthday without cake? Aunt Karman made a DELICIOUS yellow cake with chocolate frosting made out of melted chocolate chips! Yummy!
