I tried......I really did.

Seriously people, I tried SO hard to find something to post about that didn't have anything to do with baby or pregnancy but it's impossible. My life is consumed by this subject and I don't see it ending any time soon.:) So I gave-up trying and gave-in to posting about this subject.....yet again. Sorry.:)

So I received an e-mail yesterday from a fellow pregnant friend sharing a wonderful Mother's Day discount. Thank You Alecia!!
Check out the SUPER cute nursing bib I ordered for FREE!!

Yea, that's right folks.....FREE!

All I paid was shipping & handling. Happy Mother's Day to me!:)

Speaking of Mother's Day. . . . . I went ahead and treated myself to a much needed pedicure while in Reno on Wednesday. Oh it felt sooooo good! I was a little nervous about asking Bryce to paint my toenails for me so I spared both of us by paying someone to not only paint my toenails, a pretty purple, but massage & scrub my lower legs and feet for 45 minutes! It was wonderful!!!

And just for the fun of it I'll throw in a couple updated pregnancy tid-bits.:)

- Only 9 more weeks until I meet my little guy! Wow!

- I officially have an outie.:)

- My baby showers are coming up in the next couple weeks and I'm super excited!

- This belly is getting huge!

-I am now getting the "So, how much longer?", "You're almost done right?", and "Wow, you're getting big." comments. All I have to say is..... Seriously people?! How insensitive can you be?? Pregnant girls DO NOT feel sexy or attractive and they worry everyday about their ever-changing/expanding body so DO NOT ask me if I'm almost done when NO- I am not and I still have 9 more weeks of growing.:) For future reference: If you see a pregnant girl who looks as though she's "Ready to Pop" just kindly ask her "When is your due date?" . . . . . and when she gives you the answer. . . . DO NOT look surprised.:) (Sorry about the ranting.)

*Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers & soon-to-be mothers out there.:)

Baby Stuff :)

I realize that women have been having babies for years and years and most of them have gone without a Bumbo seat or a baby swing or a pacifier holder but it's my first baby and I feel like I need it all.:) Am I the only one that feels or has felt this way??

I realize that as I walk the aisles of Babies R Us that yes, they have stuff in there that is absolutely unnecessary but I guess I'll just have to try it all out and decide for myself what that "unnecessary stuff" is. Everyone who has had a baby has a different opinion on what is great & necessary and what is NOT but how do I know what kind of baby stuff I'm going to like or use? Well, my solution is just to get one of everything and find out for myself.:) I may just go broke in the process.....
Here is my newest baby gear.

I'm positive that both of these items are necessary. . . . . Right??

I spent one morning last week putting this stroller together and figuring out how to use it to it's full capacity. When Bryce came home and saw it he said something like, "Whoa, that looks like an armored baby pusher." And my reply went something like, "Well, it'll be holding VERY precious cargo, my dear.":)

28 Weeks

My baby boy is getting bigger and so is my belly! He is moving around so much in there! I love it! There is something so amazing about feeling your baby move and kick inside you. Pregnancy really is an awesome experience! I'm sooooo happy to be able to experience it!

Side note: The Second of Three Shields boys arrived last Saturday. Congratulations to Steve & Teri (Bryce's sister)!! They live in Texas so we're not sure when we're going to meet the little guy but we're excited to see pictures.

You know what that means?. . . . . . . . . I'M NEXT! Wahoo!!

3rd Trimester....baby!

This whole pregnancy gig is going pretty well!
I just started into my 3rd trimester and I'm still feeling pretty good. Working on the nursery has been keeping me busy. I'll post some pics when it's finished.

If this little boy is at all as active outside the womb as he is on the inside, he's going to come out running! He is constantly moving around & kicking. Bryce felt him kick last Saturday for the first time which was exciting! Now he loves to put his hand on my belly to feel his little boy kick and he's usually not disappointed. Sometimes you can just see my whole stomach move which is a little strange.:)

24 Weeks

I am now 27 weeks so this picture was taken a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I'm bigger now.:) All I have to say is....... "HELLO, maternity pants! I'm in love with you!!" That is a whole different post though.:) HA!

* * *

At my 20 week ultrasound the tech found urine in my little guy's kidneys which they say is pretty common with boys and that as long as it doesn't keep building up there is nothing to worry about. Well, Bryce and I have been worried of course so they decided to do another ultrasound yesterday to re-check his kidneys.

Well we're happy to say- all is well. The urine in his kidneys has decreased and they say they're not worried but will still scan him one more time just to be sure. We're relieved, to say the least! Pregnancy is a stressful thing isn't it??

On a lighter note......take a look at this cute baby boy! 3D pictures are awesome! Bryce says he looks like a Shields and I think he's right! I am sooooooo in love with this little guy and I haven't even met him yet. I can hardly wait!

At one point during the ultrasound our baby boy had his hands behind his head like he was just lounging.:) I'm glad he's comfortable in there! I'll try to remember that when I'm not feeling so comfortable.:) Being a mom has already begun. . . . it's ALL about my little boy.

*Early Easter in B-Town*

I took a short trip to Blanding last week to hang out with my family. Unfortunately, I had to leave Bryce home to work but it was nice to give my family my full attention because we all know. . . . .soon there will be a baby boy getting ALL of that attention.:)
* * *
The kids and I decided to have a mini Easter a week early.

We colored & decorated Easter eggs, which they loved!!

Check out that art work!!

We also decided to have an Easter egg hunt in the front yard. Aunt Bitny hid the eggs and the kids had a blast finding their eggs they colored.

Fun times with Jett & Tenli!!

It was a great little vacation from work & house duties! I always enjoy hanging out with my mom & dad and allowing them to spoil me.......and the baby.:) You're never too old for that right??

Thanks MOM & DAD for a great week!
