Easter Weekend

We headed to Grandma & Grandpa Shields' house to celebrate Easter this year. . . . . . And we had a BLAST! Easter is a kid's holiday and this year we had a kid.:) Fun times!

Easter Morning- -
The Easter bunny found Roman and left him a basket full of summer fun!

Because no summer would be complete without Redsox gear and swim trunks.:)

Look Who's Crawling. . . .

Roman had been going 2-4 crawling steps forward for about a week and on Thursday morning April 14th, while I was on the phone with the insurance company, he figured it out. It was awesome! He crawled across the length of his room and I started laughing & clapping and had to tell the insurance man to hang on "my son just started crawling!" What a perfect moment to share with a stranger. . . .from the insurance company, who was grilling me about past medical history.:)

Soon after sharing the special moment with the insurance man I sent a mass picture message of my cutest baby boy in his diaper mid-crawl. :)

It has been a few days now and Roman is working on perfecting his crawl. It's pretty dang cute!

Watch out Jack (the cat) . . . . Roman's on the move!

9 Month Check-Up- -

9 Month Stats:

Weight- 19.13 lbs. (50%)

Length- 27.6 in. (25%)

Head Circumference- 47 cm (90%)

So Roman is basically all over the charts on his percentages but the pediatrician says "not to worry". Easy for her to say!. . . . but I guess I'll do my best to trust her professional judgement. He's the happiest baby boy ever so I guess that counts for something.:)

What describes Roman at 9 month??-

* Crawling backwards

* Feeds himself finger foods

* Says "da da" all the time but is unaware of what it means

* Has 2 bottom teeth and 1 top tooth

* Goes to bed at 8 PM and wakes up at 7 AM

* LOVES yogurt & Gerber yogurt melts

* Is a very good eater

* LOVES books & being read to

* Is quite the people person & enjoys being around kids

* Will not drink water :(

* Still breast feeding 4-5 times a day

* Likes to "wrestle" with daddy

* Sleeps in the "stink bug" position :)

Roman is just a sweet & easy going baby boy!

We love him so much and are amazed at how much he learns and changes every day!!!

Back to Work :(

I decided to head back to work after taking, a very generous,

9 months off.

Are you surprised that I wasn't excited??

The worst part about going back to work was leaving my Roman for a 12 hour shift.:(

Can you tell how sad he is to have a boys night with daddy?:)

I feel so blessed to be a full-time mom and to have such a flexible career. One night a week away from my boys will be more than enough. :)
